Same Day Van Couriers

Due to continued expansion, we have excellent opportunities for Same Day Van Couriers...
The successful candidates will use their own small van to make timed document and parcel deliveries in the local and long-distance courier jobs. There is an interesting and varied mix of work, so you will need a flexible approach to working hours.

Working on a self-employed basis, you will have your own plain white van which is less than seven years old, well-maintained and in good condition.

You will be responsible for collecting and delivering customer-owned documents and parcels on-time and in perfect condition. As a professional, well-established courier company, we will provide you with all of the training and support you need to be a success within our expanding business and prompt payment terms.

Candidates will ideally have previous experience as a courier, ideally within the UK parcels industry.

Main Responsibilities

1) Collecting & delivering consignments on time and in excellent condition

2) Driving in a safe and professional manner at all times

3) Accepting bookings by telephone or via mobile data

4) Keeping the depot team informed of any delays or delivery issues.

5) Helping to maintain a good relationship with our existing customers.

Typical earnings for small van owner-drivers are £25,000 to £35,000 per annum

Multi Drop Drivers

RFT Transport are currently recruiting for experienced Multi Drop Van Drivers to work on various contracts based in London with the opportunity to earn between £130 - £180 per day .

Owner van drivers are preferred, however vans can be supplied/hired to the right driver dependant on insurance history and points on license

The positions are permanent and to start immediately!

Drivers should be proactive, customer service focused and flexible. You will work within a strong team of experienced drivers who we believe are the best in the business.

As the face of the company, you will be expected to be presentable, polite and courteous to customers at all times.

Deliveries will vary from 80 - 130 drops a day . Drivers must be prepared for this variance and able to cope with bulk drops to various floors within office buildings on a regular basis.

Key Requirements are:

- Minimum 6 Months Multi Drop experience

- Hold full UK driving licence (No more than 6 points)

- Have a good knowledge of London and surrounding areas

- Reliable and hard working

•Hold all relevant documentation to live and work in the UK

•Experience using scanning devices, map reading and Sat Nav's

•Be able to pass a criminal record check
